Scientific Experiences
PedagogyScience is a messy, dynamic process that requires patience, mistakes, and a supportive, rigorous community. Learning experiences in a science classroom shouldn't just have students designing and doing science, but actively reflecting and furthering on their knowledge.

Philosophy
A classroom should be a shared learning environment, in which students take an active role in helping design and carry out meaningful projects and learning experiences. Science classrooms should not only capitalize on authentic, relevant problems in the local and global community, but also utilize students' knowledge, questions, and passions.
|
Professional GoalsImplement scientific curriculum that integrates both place-based education and community resources to develop authentic scientific solutions to questions, problems, and ideas within students' lives.
